Digital Citizenship

Additional Information

Explore the links and resources below to find tools and activities that are appropriate for your grade level and discipline:

  2. BrainPop - Online Safety with StoryBird
  3. SeeSaw Digital Citizenship Safety
  4. NetSmart Be Safer Online presentation
  5. Common Sense Media Lesson Plans Internet Safety

Digital Citizenship is an action not a thought, so students will experience each standard through the creation of their own rules and expectations to maintain online safety. Each learner must understand that with every action there is a consequence in the real world and the online world.

Learners in your class should be given opportunities to learn how to properly request to use information and then how to cite the source, such as doing research on the Age of Exploration in a Social Studies class.
