As the 2025 Durham Public Schools Teacher of the Year, he uses every platform — from keynote stages to student circles — to advocate for equity, excellence, and empowerment.

Alec is also the Founder and CEO of Pathway to Change, LLC, where he leads transformative work centered on educational access, civic engagement, and culturally responsive leadership. Whether developing innovative programs like We Are KINGS and QUEENS, building curriculum that empowers citizen engineers, or mentoring the next generation of change agents, Alec continues to walk in purpose — and invite others to do the same.
